Rev Steve Johnson

Steve is the rector of the Strettons parish. Steve's curacy was in the Benefice of Goring, Streatley & South Stoke in Oxfordshire. Prior to ordination, Steve worked as a Youth Worker in Worthing, a Mission co-ordinator for CMS in Oxford and a Regional co-ordinator for Oxfordshire Christian Aid. Steve is married to Lindsay and they have three daughters, aged 8, 4, and 2.

Caroline was ordained as priest of the Church of England in 1997. She has served in Kidderminster and Dudley, and for many years was the Diocesan Director of Ordinands for the Oxford Diocese. Caroline has recently retired to Church Stretton, and is looking foward to having more time to enjoy her sailing.

Steve's chequered past includes: technical operations for BBC TV and Radio; two years as a full-time student of Biblical Studies and Cross-Cultural Communications; a brief and undistinguished period as a missionary; media relations and training for the national Methodist Church; FE lecturer in computer programming; software application developer and solution architect. Steve is Eastern Orthodox. He is married with three grown-up kids, and loves walking in the Shropshire hills.
